Boy it sure has been a whirlwind of a few weeks! 2 camping trips and a trip to my friend/co-worker's cabin made it quite busy. Don't get me wrong we all had a blast, swimming and fishing and enjoying the nice weather...everything has been perfect...well except those darn pesky mosquitos...
So this week I'm relaxing (somewhat)...the boy has ditched me for all the fun activities daycare has in store and I have decided since it's a rainy week...to take a few days and try and organize our basement which is full of a whole lot of junk!
I thought I'd be bored with the boy out of the house and the boyfriend working crazy hours...but in all honesty I'm loving this 'me' time. When I'm not packing for camping trips and/or cleaning house I've been watching movies and lots of them...girlie movies lol. Something I rarely treat myself to.
Only 5 more days till I turn 30 and me and my girls go to see Bon Jovi...woot woot! I'm sooooooooooooooooo flippin' excited!

Oh Summer how I love thee
Summer brings us nice warm sun
For swimming, fishing, and lots of fun
For finding seashells in the sand
For sunbathing to get a tan
To do all these things and more
At the beach and seashore

So tomorrow marks the last day of school for my boy - yes we have school right up until the very end of June here. I start holidays for 2.5 weeks on Thursday and we are heading out on our very first camping trip of the season that day...usually by now we've been out camping at least once or twice...but alas having a child in sports hindered us from having a free weekend for the entire month of June!
This shall prove to be an interesting camping trip...my mom, brother and nephew are tagging along. I'm sure we'll have a blast as long as the kids don't fight too much ;)
I plan to spend much of my vacation outdoors soaking up some rays...so please let the every other day rainstorms halt right this very second...we've seen enough rain...well...for the rest of the Summer!
As you can probably tell my very favourite thing to do in the Summer is camp and sit by the water at the beach. I hope I have plenty of time to do that this Summer.
What about you...what is your favourite summer time activity?

Hellooooooooooo??? Are you out there???
Where oh where does the time go? I can hardly believe that it's been over a week since I blogged...but I guess that's what happens when you are on vacation!
We spent Canada Day in the country at a friend's house (they have a ton of acreage) and camped out on their property...spending most of the next day out there too...then we were camping for a few days...I think we are all officially camped out until the month of August.
Yesterday and today the boyfriend and I have just been chillin'...I'm getting my house in order for my mother's visit next week...also catching up on the TON of laundry that we've accumulated lately...the boy has chosen to go to daycare for 2 days this week because they are going on all these cool park adventures...I'm glad he enjoys it there so much! It gives me a much needed break after constantly having to entertain while camping...there weren't a whole lot of other kids for him to play with...so that meant all us all the time.
I hope you are all enjoying summer and I promise to be a better blogger...cause I miss you all!!!

What does Summer mean to you?
Summer has officially arrived! We had hot temperatures and sunshine all weekend long.
In my house Summer means every little boy on the block in our front yard...the sprinkler going and when my little boy hits the hay without any time for a shower (because he's stayed outside too long with his friends and is grumpy when I *make* him come in)...he has THE dirtiest feet I have ever seen in my life!!!! The boyfriend was so amazed by how dirty the boy's feet were that he just had to photograph them sticking out from his comforter...BUT because I forgot to put the pic on my computer you all won't get to see it just yet lol.
My all time favourite thing to do in the Summer...CAMPING!!! We have our first camping trip of the year planned for next weekend and I am sooooooooo excited...so this week will be spent preparing for it. I have yet to pull out our camping gear and assess what we have or may need to pick up before we head out. I'm a procrastinator...if you didn't already know that! Oh and we are tent campers all the way...non of this trailer with the portable dvd player and a sink and a real fridge too...nope not us...we still use coolers and no electronics come with us (with the exception of a radio)...though I haven't reminded the boy yet that his DS will have to stay home...last year he begged to be allowed to bring his Gameboy Advance...and I didn't cave hopefully I can stay strong again this year. Camping is a time to be away from all stuff and enjoy the great outdoors.
